India is a country full of natural beauty and resources. It is also a country where millions struggle to meet the basic necessities of life such as food, water, clothing, and shelter on a daily basis. Women and children are the most at-risk for exploitation when they are forced to live in this sort of extreme poverty.
The dream and goal of AshaBelle is to be a company that impacts the lives of women living in poverty by giving them meaningful work, training, medical assistance, and pays them a fair, livable wage. By helping women thrive and giving them hope for a future, we are helping their families thrive, and by extension, an entire community will be strengthened.
As a company, we strive to create products that are well-crafted, unique and elegant. Pulling from India's abundance of beautiful semi-precious stones, metals and endless variety of raw materials, we are able to create unique pieces to suit a variety of styles and tastes. Our desire is that our products would make the women who wear them feel beautiful inside and out.
It is our hope and desire to see women, wherever they are, coming alongside other women in need and to help them grow and thrive when it is within their power to do so. Our heart is that each precious woman on our team would know she was created for a purpose and is loved deeply by the One who created her. That's the reason for our Beautiful Hope!
AshaBelle US works directly with the artisans we employ in India. Our approach to empowerment is holistic as we not only want to see individuals thrive, but their community as well.
We pay our artisans a fair, livable wage. They are not paid per piece or based on production amounts, but by simply showing up and and faithfully working to make products you love.
Our artisans are women who need to earn a living to care for themselves and their families. We train women who have an ability to learn jewelry-making techniques and who have a desire to grow personally. Many more women would love to be a part of AshaBelle, as there are limited safe options for women in this community to work with dignity.
